Beta Analytic Participates in German Archaeology Congress

Sunday, October 9th, 2011

Alexander Shroff, Beta Analytic Deputy Manager for European Operations, represented the company at the 7. Deutscher Archäologiekongress (7th German Archaeological Congress) held in Bremen, Germany. The congress was held at the University of Bremen from October 3 to October 7, 2011.

“This congress is a good opportunity for us to introduce our fast services to many archaeologists in Germany. Although they have local radiocarbon dating labs, it is our goal to provide them with an alternative lab should they need faster services. Our standard AMS delivery time is now at 14 business days, and we also have expedited services available. I am sure German archaeologists will appreciate the fact that our lab will provide them with ISO/IEC 17025:2005-accredited measurements,” Mr. Shroff says.

Around 750 participants were expected to attend the event. The congress was organized by Nordwestdeutschen Verbandes für Altertumsforschung e.V. and Präsidium der Deutschen Verbände für Archäologie (Bureau of German Associations of Archaeology) in cooperation with the archaeology department of Bremen (Landesarchäologie Bremen), the University of Bremen, and various other archaeology and prehistory associations in Germany.

Beta Analytic would like to thank Ms. Sandra Geringer of Landesarchäologie Bremen for her assistance in the company’s advertising effort at the congress.

Beta Analytic Radiocarbon Dating Lab

Aside from being consistently fast in delivering results, Beta Analytic is the only ISO/IEC 17025:2005-accredited radiocarbon dating lab in the world. The company is committed to provide accurate and precise results to its clients.

Beta Analytic’s results include Carbon-13/Carbon-12 measurements and calendar calibration when applicable. Clients also receive a Quality Assurance Report which provides supporting validation for their results. They are able to access their results 24/7 via an online archive, which now includes photos of samples sent and analyzed.

To provide clients in Europe with cost-effective means to send their samples to the lab, Beta Analytic maintains a forwarding facility in London, UK. All samples sent to the London office are forwarded to Miami, Florida, via overnight courier service at Beta Analytic’s expense.

Beta Analytic has served the archaeology and cultural resource management industries since 1979.
